Me in the crowd as Johnny signs it

I left home at 4am and arrived in London at 7am for the premiere of "The Pirates of the Caribbean 4".

There were already many people there and Johnny wasn't due to arrive until 6pm.

I waited 11 hours with crowd and when Johnny arrived I was very lucky to be the first person he signed for. He then spent over an hour signing for every fan there. He is always so appreciative of his fans and the role they play in his career.

Johnny is a great soul.

I met Johnny Depp here at the premiere of his film "Public Enemies" in London,

June 2009.

I left home at 7am and when I arrived in Leicester Square there were already over 100 fans waiting for him.

We waited all day in hot sunshine and when Johnny arrived at 6pm he spent an hour going around the whole crowd giving everyone an autograph.

He was late for giving a talk inside the cinema and the security had to take him inside but he told the fans he would come back out.

After giving his talk he came back out and continued giving autographs for those fans he missed before.

To see a world famous celebrity give so much of his time and energy to fans was heart-warming. An amazingly kind, generous and honest man.

When he saw my painting he said "Wow that's beautiful!"

he signed it and said again "That's very good!"

It was a great thrill to meet him again.

My first meeting with Johnny Depp was at the premiere of his film "Sweeney Todd" in London, January 2008.
I travelled up to London with my portrait of Johnny and arrived at Leicester Square at 12 noon. There were already many people there and I managed to secure a spot at the front of the barriers next to the cinema door. After standing there for 7 hours in pouring rain to wait for Johnny, he arrived. The rain stopped and he spent 45 minutes signing autographs for many fans in very cold weather. Amongst the hundreds of fans screaming and pushing, I managed to take my my painting out of my art case and put it over the front of the barrier, hoping he would sign.
When he saw my painting he said "Wow that's beautiful!"
He kindly signed it and then he put his hands in a prayer position and bowed his head and said "Thank you" to me.

I was very touched and he clearly appreciates his fans and seems a very kind and charming man. It was a great thrill to meet him.
