I met Bono when U2 appeared at the BBC Radio centre in London, February 2009.

I left home at 5am and arrived early in London as U2 were to appear on radio at midday.

They arrived at 10.30am and when Bono saw my painting he smiled and came over to sign it.

He wrote on it:

"Even better than the real thing.. Bono"

I also saw Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen there, but sadly they refused to

sign autographs for their fans.

But it was wonderful to get such a nice message from Bono.

I met The Edge when U2 appeared at the BRIT awards in London, February 2009.

I drove up to London at 3am and arrived at Earl's Court at 6am.

I waited all day with the crowd. When the stars arrived around 6pm I was getting

extremely crushed, although I held my painting over the barrier to protect it.

The only member of U2 who appeared on the red carpet was The Edge, the others went in through a back entrance.

He saw my painting and raised his eyebrows and gave a big smile and

kindly signed it.

I was exhausted after waiting for 12 hours and being crushed in the crowd but it was great to meet him.

I tried to video The Edge signing my painting but in all the crush my camera

didn't record it properly, luckily photographer Richard Goldschmidt was

next to me and took this wonderful photo of the The Edge signing it.
